About us

Divine Design Ministry emerged from an innately established theoretical and experiential relationship with Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit inspired the birth of this Ministry to revive, reform and renew the blueprint of the biblical family. "Family" is the nucleus of society; therefore, we seek to employ the biblical prototype and integrate it with various strategic plans to address the pervasiveness of individual and societal declension. This declension presents itself in many ways, including child abuse (physical, sexual, emotional/psychological ), marital abuse, and many mental health challenges within children and parents. As a survivor of abandonment, sexual abuse, gender-based violence, depression and a host of other traumatic life experiences, I stand chosen and qualified by the Spirit of God to trailblaze victims to turn their mess into a message and pivot from a victim to victor. The Spirit of God birthed the name and has inspired us to use a reminder that God fearfully, wonderfully and divinely designs us to populate the earth with heaven's culture.  Through a practical unveiling and application of the power of divine love, design and purpose, we have covenanted our lives and resources to this Ministry as a 'give back campaign.' As we have experienced the transforming power of God's love that brought healing, restoration and mission, we aim to be that divine vessel that can be a catalyst for initiating healing and transformation for the broken-hearted, abused and neglected. Since May 2020, we have launched this Non- Profit as a medium to advance the gospel through various charitable initiatives, attracting to impact and fostering a community to serve. You, too, can be a part of this great mission by offering your prayers, time and financial support.

Kimberly Spencer-Jones

B.A. Psychology

Founder/President

Kimberly is an avid supporter and advocate of empowering victims of abuse and vulnerable communities, emphasizing women and young girls who have fallen prey to various traumatic life experiences. Kimberly Spencer-Jones is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, gender-based violence, mental health challenges (namely anxiety and depression); she was once a victim in a society that gives scant regard to violence against women and young girls.  Notwithstanding those adversities, Kimberly, through the infinite love of Christ and indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, traversed the arduous and extensive road to healing and becoming whole. In the final chapter of Mrs. Spencer-Jones's blueprint of overcoming the above-said trauma, she garnered insurmountable strength through narrating her story to other victims and translating her healing, renewed strength and purpose into hope for others. One of her favourite taglines is "vulnerability breeds vulnerability." That methodology catalyzes recovery by creating a safe space for victims to begin their healing journey through mutual exchange, individual and group therapy.

Further, Kimberly was discontent with her efforts and felt the Spirit of God impressing her to effect even more significant change. As a result, she answered the divine call to pursue a career path into Psychotherapy, where she would integrate "work" as a byproduct of "purpose." Kimberly serves her community as an Inspirational Speaker, Youth Mentor, Biblical Counselor, and volunteer in Family Ministries and Women's Ministry at the Toronto West SDA Church. She served 2017-2019 as Women's Ministry  Director and 2019-2021 as Family Life Director.

Kimberly's passion for ministry and mission to the abused and neglected was further exacerbated when she collaborated with the Florida Advent Missionary Group as a volunteer community worker and Speaker to the beautiful country of Panama. She confabulated with numerous women, sharing her story of triumphing through the power of Christ, offering resources, financial aid and a shared vision to translate their stories from a victim to victor. Kimberly relentlessly advocates for the abused and them acquiring strength and purpose through their "voice & action." Celebrating their survival as a divine stamp for change, boldly sounding the public "awareness" alarm with intentionality and honing their Godgiven skills and talent to effect change. Kimberly's transition from pain to purpose has played an integral role in the birth of this Non-Profit Organization (Divine Design Ministry), which has at its foundation her mantra," you become permanently empowered when the Creator's purpose becomes your life's construct."
